Torre Space and Power Systems (TSPS) is
developing a new form of electrical power generation for spacecraft, orbiting platforms, planetary bases and any other orbital asset by using the naturally occurring high velocity, ionized plasma that is emitted by the sun into the solar system, a technology based on the science of magneto hydrodynamics. Founded in 2020, our incredible team of engineers have worked tirelessly to bring TSPS to the forefront of a new industry. We continue to work relentlessly to become the new technological standard, providing big picture insights and solutions for space applications of all sizes.

95% of the Universe is Plasma
The greatest expanse of raw energy is already flowing in abundance in the universe – plasma, the fourth state of matter. The solar wind is a mixture of ionized particles originating from the sun and composed of ionized hydrogen and helium (alpha particles) and trace amounts of heavy ions and atomic nuclei ripped apart by heating of the Sun’s outer atmosphere, the corona. High-velocity, energetic ions flow radially away from the sun and are affected by magnetic fields and collisions between ions. The plasma is electrically conductive since electrons and protons are stripped away from their atoms. It is nearly frictionless (inviscid) and is highly compressible since the pressure and density are extremely rarefied.
